Touch Rugby

Straight after morning tea we had our final session of touch rugby with Trevor. We have had 3 sessions with him and they were just fabulous.

On the first week we learnt some drills and some of the drills that we learnt was how to plant the ball, what a dummy half is,  pass and scoop. The second week came and that was the week when we were starting to play against each other in two teams with girls and boys.

At last week three came. When we got there the girls had to split into 2 even teams and the boys had to do that as well. When we we in 4 groups one group from the boys and girls had to put some red bibs on.  When they were on both boy teams were first and they played against each other.  My favourite part was today when we played the game and we won.

For the last three weeks I have had a lot of fun.

World’s Most Honest Countries

People say that the word honesty is the best policy ever but how honest are we? We weren't chosen to be one of the MOST honest countries. How can China be one of them? And India. Well, I think New Zealand is a free country! We have Pacific Islanders, and more but turns out people have been choosing the other countries but live in New Zealand. Oh well, we'll just have to live with it.

Lights For Paris

Paris may be called the "City Of Lights" but since the attack on the 13th last Friday the rest of the world are offering lights to Paris. Buildings around the world even including our own sky tower has been lit up with the colours of the French flag to show support and love for Paris. A lot of people have lost their lives in the attack that took place last Friday around the French capital and heaps of world leaders have offered their support to France. Also Facebook is supporting this by getting people to change their profile picture to the colour of the flag which is red, blue & white.

No More Cash For Sweden

Sweden is heading toward their currency and relying completely on credit and debit cards. Although Sweden was the first European country to introduce banknotes back in 1661, now they are working to convince people that digital payments are safer than cash. Younger people think that this idea is a good idea but elder people think it is a risky choice to make. Homeless people think it is also a god idea because they will be fully dependent. Sweden is not the only country working on this.

Silver Ferns Win!

Capture
The Silver Ferns win against Australia and the score was 58 - 47, but the Diamonds still have the Constellation cup. As they won they leveled the four test series at Perth Arena in front of a crowd of 12,845 for a Netball game in Perth. However there win was not as sweet as it could have been. As the match was a drawn four match contents, the trophy was given to the best overall goal difference. It was a sweet evening for coach Waimarama Taumaunu as it was her last coach in charge. This was there biggest win since September in 2010. But they made a back to back win against Australia.
