Touch Rugby

Straight after morning tea we had our final session of touch rugby with Trevor. We have had 3 sessions with him and they were just fabulous.

On the first week we learnt some drills and some of the drills that we learnt was how to plant the ball, what a dummy half is,  pass and scoop. The second week came and that was the week when we were starting to play against each other in two teams with girls and boys.

At last week three came. When we got there the girls had to split into 2 even teams and the boys had to do that as well. When we we in 4 groups one group from the boys and girls had to put some red bibs on.  When they were on both boy teams were first and they played against each other.  My favourite part was today when we played the game and we won.

For the last three weeks I have had a lot of fun.

World’s Most Honest Countries

People say that the word honesty is the best policy ever but how honest are we? We weren't chosen to be one of the MOST honest countries. How can China be one of them? And India. Well, I think New Zealand is a free country! We have Pacific Islanders, and more but turns out people have been choosing the other countries but live in New Zealand. Oh well, we'll just have to live with it.

Lights For Paris

Paris may be called the "City Of Lights" but since the attack on the 13th last Friday the rest of the world are offering lights to Paris. Buildings around the world even including our own sky tower has been lit up with the colours of the French flag to show support and love for Paris. A lot of people have lost their lives in the attack that took place last Friday around the French capital and heaps of world leaders have offered their support to France. Also Facebook is supporting this by getting people to change their profile picture to the colour of the flag which is red, blue & white.

My Halloween Costume

Halloween is now here and it is the time when most children and adults wear costumes like me, here is a image of what I would wear to Halloween one day.  I would wear a costume like this for Halloween. I would wear this costume to Halloween to scare my friends and family. I also like this costume because it will be easy to make.

The Mystery Of The Bit Big Mac!

A woman from Auckland was unhappy after she got a Big Mac from McDonald's that already had a bite taken out of it!

This lady took a photo of it and posted it onto Facebook and explained her experience. She then went to the manager to complain about it but she was then told that it was impossible and that she must of made it up. However after the story was out and  a lot of people knew about it then CCTV footage discovered that another customer had bought the burger and gave it back to the workers because they did not like it. McDonald's said sorry for selling the burger.

Going To Auckland Hospital

On Saturday afternoon we went to Auckland Hospital for a check up on my friend's mum. As we got there we had to go to ward 6 and wait there until the doctor came. When the doctor came we had to take the baby for a walk so that my friend's mum could go in for her check up. We waited for about 20 minutes until we heard that everything was fine.

For the last two weeks we have been put into groups to create a presentation about the Rugby World Cup 2015. I am in a group with , Quros, Tyla, Sophie, Suliasi. I have learnt that the Webb Ellis cup is named after William Webb Ellis. I think that our presentation is going well and I can't wait to see the finish product.

Wood Tech

                                                Wood Tech
For the last month I have been working on a jewelry holder for my mum. It is now done and it look’s good. I had to plan what I was going to do first. Then I worked my way from my plan. We had to do 10 to 15 designs on it then we could start on our project. It was a lot of work but I did it. I am so happy that I finished my project.

Jill McDondal

Jill McDonald

Jill McDonald was born in Wellington in 1927. She had a talent for drawing when she was in primary school and she also loved reading books. She drew a lot of illustrations for School Journals and she would use pens, pencils, crayons, stencils, inks, paints and dye. This was when there were no computers around so that meant it was done all by  hand. Sadly Jill died in 1982 and a lot of her art was put in trunk and sent to her mum Glen.
