People say that the word honesty is the best policy ever but how honest are we? We weren't chosen to be one of the MOST honest countries. How can China be one of them? And India. Well, I think New Zealand is a free country! We have Pacific Islanders, and more but turns out people have been choosing the other countries but live in New Zealand. Oh well, we'll just have to live with it.

The Shake Out Drill.
Today all schools around New Zealand had a shakeout drill at approximately 9:15. When the bell rang three times we all had to get under the desk. Then we sat there for about five minutes, then Mr Reid took photos of us under our desks. When we were sitting under the desks it was a bit sore, but it is better that getting very hurt if an earthquake really happened.

Jill McDondal
Jill McDonald was born in Wellington in 1927. She had a talent for drawing when she was in primary school and she also loved reading books. She drew a lot of illustrations for School Journals and she would use pens, pencils, crayons, stencils, inks, paints and dye. This was when there were no computers around so that meant it was done all by hand. Sadly Jill died in 1982 and a lot of her art was put in trunk and sent to her mum Glen.
