Lunch And Wet Day Monitor Badges.

Yesterday afternoon we had an assembly but not just an ordinary assembly.

We got our monitor badges. The monitor badges were for the people who go to the classes when it is wet or when it is lunch time everyday. We all had to stand in a straight line before we got our monitor badges. Some of us had our badges from last year. It was good to see all of the lunch and wet day monitors with their new blue badges.
 Well done!

Mercury

Mercury is one of the smallest planets in the solar system and it is the closest to the sun. The surface of Mercury is like the surface of the moon which has large holes all over it. The side of Mercury that is facing the sun is twice as hot as a kitchen oven which means that it is 800'F (427'C). The darker side is 3 times colder than Antarctica in winter which also means minus 297'F (183'C). It takes 87.66 days for Mercury to go around the sun once.

Today we went to watch a play a Point England School, which is called Cindy In The House. There were four schools including Ruapotaka, Kura Kaupapa, Glenbrae and Pt England Preschool. When we got there we got and wait for about 10 minutes. My favourite part of the play was when Josh was dancing to the harlem shake. This play was based on Cinderella.

Mad Messenger

Yesterday we had two visitors come to our school. They were here to tell us that we are special and we change throughout our lives. We all had to say something nice about Sini and Mrs Golder. At the end we all enjoyed watching Petia draw one of his favourite superheroes.
